Winter Trails Event coming Saturday, January 10th

Monday, January 05, 2009

Check out our Winter Trails Event being held on Saturday, January 10th.  This is an event where children and adults can try snowshoeing and/or cross country skiing FREE at more than 100 locations in US and Canada.  Winter Trails, now in its 14th year, offers entire families or groups of friends, regardless of age, an opportunity to get outside in the winter and enjoy a day on snow.  Both snowshoeing and cross country skiing provide exercise, a chance to enjoy nature and they involve a minimal to modest learning curve.  We will be offering guided half hour tours going out at 10 am, 11 am and noon.   Reservations may be made by calling us at (888) 289-1020 or arrive early to register here at the mountain.

Tenney Mountain is offering the same things it has become known and loved for--the friendly faces, the long winding trails, our enhanced terrain park, the tubing hill, and of course...the affordable lift ticket prices.  The summit of Tenney Mountain at 2, 149 feet offers breathtaking panoramic views that stretch from the Lakes Region all the way to the Presidential Range of the White Mountains.

Here's a sampling of what's new this season at the resort:    Tubbs Snowshoe rentals in our rental shop, all new Adventure Programs powered by EMS, a newly expanded terrain park, an improved 1,100' tubing slope, an all-new Hammerhead Sledding area, all improved cafeteria menu, all new pub menu in The Backcountry Pub with apres ski entertainment on weekends and special holidays and an expanded slate of special events for the whole family with additions every week.  Be to check out our Special Events page for updates.

In addition to our normal ski area operations, White Mountain Exploration has partnered with The Eastern Mountain Sports Exploration Schools to create an Adventure Basecamp for outdoor exploration.  Programs will run all season to include ice climbing, telemark skiing, backcountry excursions, snowshoeing and much more.  This makes White Mountain Exploration at Tenney Mountain your number one location for outdoor exploration and adventure.  Tenney's services and programs will provide you with everything you need for your winter adventure.
