Skiing: What to Wear

What to wear is one of the most important factor when skiing. Proper clothing in skiing prevent you from undesirable sickness, pain or even protect from any accidents. First and foremost, when skiing, you need to wear your helmet. Helmet is very important for many reasons. Helmet will keep you warm. It will prevent the heat to escape from your body and most importantly, it will protect your head in case of an accident. Next thing that you should not forget is the goggles.

Goggles will protect your eyes any tree branches or debris. It will serve as sunglasses and keep the sun out and keep the glare out of your eyes so your eyes do not get tired. Do not forget also to put on sunscreen. It may sound crazy but it is very helpful. Even if the weather is cold but sunburns from skiing are very usual. Moving down to the torso area of your body, there is a couple of things you need to remember.

At this part, there are three layers involved, next-to-skin layer, base layer and outer layer. The point of the base layer is to wick the sweat away from the body. The second layer is going to be an insulating layer that it is something that will make you warm. And finally, for the outer layer, something that will make you dry. On the lower part of the body, it is quite similar on what you are going to wear on your torso part. Basically, the point is to make you warm and comfortable.
